Although Pacific Outreach operates independently, The Family International (TFI) is our ‘parent organization’. Founded in California during the late 1960s, the Family International has expanded into a worldwide organization with members in over 90 countries. Please take a look at TFI’s official website www.thefamily.org

Besides sharing the gospel, TFI members are engaged in an astounding variety of humanitarian projects in every corner of the globe. The above site has 15 example video clips of charity work in action.

round-the-world tickets!

Every year we spend 4 to 6 months in Fiji doing fulltime charity work, 2 to 3 months in the Caribbean conducting drug-awareness programs & the remaining time in Europe & Asia. It sometimes appears to people that we must be pretty rich to be able to travel so much: the truth is the complete opposite: we receive no salary & live ‘on a shoestring’ most of the time. The majority of our travels are based on a round-the-world ticket called ‘Great Escapade’. It costs E1600 & it allows us to travel round the world in one year, making about 10 stops. The ticket uses 3 airlines (Virgin Atlantic, Air New Zealand & Singapore Airlines) & since we discovered it 11 years ago, it has changed our lives! Typing ’round-the-world ticket’ in Google will provide a wealth of information, but a good starting point is is Western Air. Click here for the page relating to Great Escapade.
