Last week we did a highly enjoyable & successful distribution at the Centre for the Disabled in Brown St, Suva. It’s a place we’ve been to many times, & previous distributions have included toothpaste, vocational books & chickens for their Christmas lunch! This time it was clothes from Value City.
It’s probably one of the easiest donations we’ve ever done as the Disabled Centre offered to come to our house to pick up the clothes in their van. They also offered to do the sorting—this involved about 20 students going through the bales of clothing & choosing 10 garments each. All we needed to do was come back 2 days later to officially present the clothes & take photos!
It was a real joy to give to these precious souls as presents don’t come their way very often.
We wrote a thank you letter to Value City & also gave them photos of some of our clothes distributions, resulting in another 4 bales arriving at our house a few days ago…..it looks like the next few weeks & months will be busy!
