Since several months now, our friends at Mobile Kindy are giving free biweekly early learning teaching sessions to underprivileged children in villages on the edge of Suva. They’ve been operating in 3 different locations but always in villagers’ houses as there’s no school building in the area.
Here’s a video clip of founder Mrs Analesi Tuicaumia explaining her vision to help these precious village children:
Mobile Kindy is in fact linked with “Little Ones Learning Centre” which is one of the best early childhood centres in Suva, in operation since many years & currently hosting 140 children from 2 to 5 yrs old.
Reaching out to a rural area like this involves Little Ones teachers volunteering their time, as well as parents of children at the main school
bringing free food to be given at the end of each Mobile Kindy school session.
Our part in this project has been to accompany Analesi & teachers on several occasions to distribute clothes for the children & their families. The photos shown here are from our 3rd distribution with Mobile Kindy & show their Nai Masimasi site.
