Although Pacific Outreach operates independently, The Family International (TFI) is our ‘parent organization’. Founded in California during the late 1960s, the Family International has expanded into a worldwide organization with members in over 90 countries. Please take a look at TFI’s official website www.thefamily.org

Besides sharing the gospel, TFI members are engaged in an astounding variety of humanitarian projects in every corner of the globe. The above site has various video clips explaining our work & showing examples of charity work in action.

Round-the-world tickets!

These days we’ve slowed down a little (!), but every year for over 15 years we spent 6 months in Fiji doing full-time charity work, 2 to 3 months in the Caribbean conducting drug-awareness programs & the remaining time in Europe & Asia. It sometimes appears to people that we must be pretty rich to be able to travel so much. The truth is the complete opposite: we receive no salary & live ‘on a shoestring’ most of the time. The majority of our travels are based on a round-the-world ticket called ‘Great Escapade’. It costs about E2000 & it allows us to travel round the world in one year, making about 10 stops. The ticket uses 3 airlines (Virgin Atlantic, Air New Zealand & Singapore Airlines), & since we discovered it, it has changed our lives! Typing ’round-the-world ticket’ in Google will provide a wealth of information, but a good starting point is is https://www.nomadicmatt.com/travel-tips/buying-a-rtw-ticket/                                                                         also https://www.roundtheworldticket.com/

. Click here for the page relating to Great Escapade. Needless to say, 2020 is a very difficult & problematic year for traveling & we’ll all have to wait for things to get back to normal before committing to a round-the-world adventure!
